Hi!

L know this is a little on the late side, but I just wanted to post a few pictures of Savannah's halloween Costume. ( Thanks for the reminder Erika) She was Minnie Mouse. She won Best Costume for the elemantary section of her school. We took her trick or treating around Mom and Dad's house and had so much fun. She just squeeled with excitement after she got her candy each time. We went to about twenty houses. She could have kept going but Mom had to stop. So did Dad. His back was starting to hurt from carrying her. We brought her wheel chair but everyone in Mom And Dads Neighborhood has stairs so we felt it would be more of a hassle. Anyway, She looked adorable and kept her ears on a lot longer than I expected.

Savannah Walking

Just thought you all might like to see a video of Savannah Walking with her walker. She is really getting motivated to walk. She is starting to push up into a bear crawl position, and trying to get standing without assistance. She wa also refitted today for some new walking splints that should help her not hyper-extend her knees so much. It is so bad we had to get her the turbo splints. She is so skinny yet so strong.

we stopped her sleeping medicine this last friday. We had to ween her off of it gradually, because it is a anti-psychotic/ mood stabilizer. Although she was only on it for sleep. It is so much fun seeing how much her personality has come back since taking her off it. He is so much fun, and laughs all the time. We really missed that.

Savannah Update

A year Ago.
Now

Well this past week marks the year aniversary of Savannah's Sickness. She started pre-school at Dan Paterson. It is a special needs school that teaches pre-k through 12th grade. She goes five days a week from noon to 3:30. She loves her teacher, and her new friend Emma, Who is Just adorable. Emma has down-syndrome and the sweetest spirit. She and Savannah Spend alot of time hugging and Kissing each other. And During Signing time, Emma Goes around the classroom and helps each kid Do each Sign. Even the ones who can hardly respond. So cute! Savannah Is still having a hard time with the bus, but were not really sure how much is just a show for us. The driver says she only cries till the bus leaves. and than is fine. Or until the bus pulls into our complex. Needless to say, Savannah Has come along way in a year. Although we had hoped that her recovery would have gone alot faster, we have no doubt that the Lord knows and Loves our Savannah, and has her best intrest in mind. Thank you all for your support over this past year.

On Wednesday, Savannah Cried getting on to the bus. Although Jackie, her bus driver said she stopped crying before they were even out of the Parking lot. She didn't cry at all during school. However, her teacher said you could tell she was getting tired the last fifteen minutes of school. She had a great ride home and was all smiles while she was getting of of the bus. Amazing! Hopefully she will continue doing so well. Knock on wood. P.S. I no longer cry either when it is time for School. Baby Steps.

I apologize for the awefulness of this picture. Our scanner is broken so I had to take a picture of it with my camera. Anyway, We are expecting a wonderful new baby! During the sonogram we could see the heart beating and the Baby dancing. It was so fun to see. The baby is due November 28, which puts us just under nine week right now. The y baby is about the size of a green olive. We are so happy, and cant wait to see our new blessing.

Well Juris and I decided the best thing for us to do while Savannah is at school, was to keep busy. We were able to go to the Temple and get almost everything done for Juris' Grandparents on his fathers side. We still need to do the sealing. It is so nice to be able to to do that for them. We are also planning on going and volunteering at D.I. Alternateing between the two.

Savannah is doing better with school. She only cries once she gets on the bus from home, until they finish picking up kids. And only cries on the way home once she sees Juris Waiting for her. The only problems ive heard with the actual school is when it comes time to do one on one with her for therapy. She cries the entire time during that. Hopefully we wont have a relapse with spring break coming up next week. Were keeping our finger crossed.

This past saturday we Celebrated Savannah's third Birthday, with Family, At Mom and dad's house. I decided that since we had alot to celebrate this year on Savannah's Birthday, I would try and Make a fancy cake for her. With Fondant Icing. Which I do not think is very edible. Anyway, As you can See it wasn't too bad. Juris Said He gave it a nine, But then when he got closer it dropped to a 6 1/2. Still, I thought it was cute. I think Savannah Enjoyed all her gifts. Even if she didn't she needed the clothes really badly. Thtank you all for coming and celebrating with us.

First day of Preschool

Well today was buggies first day of preschool. I can only assume that everything went well. I havent heard otherwise. we had afew issues with the bus, and not knowing exactly where the bus stop was. So Juris and I drove to to school. We brought her to her classroom, Gave her goodbye kisses, and she never looked back. We than went to make some calls to the transportaion department and got everything squared away for the ride home. Since she is in a wheelchair at school she is not allowed to cross a street to get to her bus stop. I was waiting at the original stop when the bus came around. They let off two other kids at the same stop. The bus driver came off the bus and told me I needed to get in there. I paniked. I guess when they were bringing her out to the bus, the air brakes went off and she hadn't stopped screaming the entire twenty minute ride home. Busses are LOUD! Then the Chair lift freaked her out, and everytime the doors would open she would go bonkers. You could definately see that the bus aide was Flustered, but jackie, her bus driver was so calm and collected. I think she saw the panic in my eyes and kept telling me it was okay, and that all new kids need a little time to get used to things. Anyway Savannah Is now the first stop of the trip and she is being picked up right outside our building. It was literally a ten minute walk to the other Stop, so I am thankful. Needless to Say, Savannah And I went inside and had a long Snuggle time and cried. After about a minute Savannah Kept looking at me like whats wrong with you? I was just so overcome with so many crazy emotions, I couldn't help it. So friday we will try the bus ride again, and pray that it goes a little smoother.

So.. It really has been a while, and alot has happened. I would just like to tell our Family that if it wasn't for your Love and Support over the past few months we would have been lost. We love you so much and are thankful for you all.

Our dear little Savannah turned three on Sunday. She is Doing incredibly well. Especially since the Neurologists thought She would be a "Blind Vegetable" For the rest of her life. Mentally right now she is at about the level of a 18 Month old. And physically Around that of a 6 month old. She is really trying hard to get Crawling and wants to get into everything. Tomorrow she will be starting a preschool for Special needs children. I'm sure ill be spending a lot of time sitting in the parking lot not knowing what to do with myself.

Thanksgiving Point

Today we decided to go on a family date. We wanted something close and relatively inexpensive, so we decided to check out Thanksgiving Points Petting Zoo. Savannah Had so much fun feeding the animals. She tried to climb in the pen with the cows. She has such an adventurous spirit. It is so much fun Just watching her. It was about a gazillion Degrees out, so I was a little paranoid about her burning her beautiful porcelain Skin. I kept trying to get her to take breaks in the Shade. As long as we were close enough for her to see an Animal She stayed content for a few Seconds. She was a little wary of the pony rides, too. It took a little coaxing, But after that she didn't want to leave. She kept wanting to feed the pony as she was riding. So Cute. They had a few baby goats who were only a few days old. They were fun to watch.

Summer Goals!

Maybe I am a glutton for punishment Starting my summer goal so late, But I guess its worth a try. This summer I plan on losing forty pounds by September. As you all know, we are trying to have another baby. While I am at the same weight I was at when I became pregnant with Savannah, I am hopeing for a healthier pregnancy the next time around. While pregnant with Savannah, I became Diabetic(only Gestationaly). I also Lost over 35 Pounds. I am not quite sure how I feel About that however. I stayed off the sugar and didn't add the 500 extra calories you are suppose to eat Because of the baby. Of course the 35 pounds was over the course of 9 months, But I feel that with exercise it should be no problem. Because I was on bed rest, i couldn't work out while pregnant. Although those who really know me know i didn't really listen to the bed rest thing either after we passed the miscarriage stage. So far this summer I have lost ten pounds. I am Eating Healthier-ish, and trying to stay off the sugar. Which is a feat in itself. Sunday Is my Cheat day. I eat what ever I want that day. To an extent. And after I work out on Monday,Wednesday, and Friday, I treat myself to a swim. Most of all, I am trying to stay active.

So, Juris Lost his job with Platinum Protection. Our Car broke and we had to put in a NEW ENGINE. Anyway, Since they let him go, they felt they needed to let me go also because they didn't want me being bitter to people who still had Jobs. SO were moving Again. This time to Lehi. A friend of ours is helping us with the job Search. We'll keep you posted.

I know its been an While since we have been able to post anything. And of course we couldnt barely get on the site at mom And dads house. So we have finally started getting settled here in Cottonwood Heights. What a georgeous place. It still blows my mind waking up and seeing mountains all around. Both Juris and I are working for Platinum Protection. Juris is a Technician And I am the Office Assistant. Which is great because I get to bring Savannah To work with me. She is really turning into a social Butterfly. She goes up and says Hi and Bye to everyone who comes into the office. SHes Adorable. Anyway ill be uploading some pictures and such to our blog and try to catch up on everything.

I hate moving!

I know it has been a while since we have posted anything of substance. I feel like my life is so boring compared to others. Well, I guess moving isn't boring. In fact, its downright brutal. We are trying to down-size our belongings. Which is a task in itself. With Savannah's help it took Alot longer than I hoped it would, but she just loves helping Mom and Dad. I cant believe how much Crap we've accumulated over the years. Like bins and bins of baby clothes. For both boys and girls. When I was pregnant with Savannah, I was positive she was a boy. So I Started buying crap loads of stuff for boys. I didn't mind having to start again when we found out she was a girl. However, I'm not going to get rid of the boy clothes I do have. Down-sizing is one thing, but wasting money is ridiculous. Juris Says" well, this way you' ll get to go shopping again." And I replied" My shopping is inevitable, But I would rather just pick up where I left off. I don't want to make Shopping a Chore. Then it loses all its fun." I know Amber(the Resident family shopaholic) is feeling me. Right?

Anyway, Trying to down-size, while packing is a chore in itself. Throw in a two year old "Supervisor" and you've really got your work cut out for you. Especially when she pulling items out you've just packed("quality control Checks") and running around the house with them. I found some of my spatulas in the toilet. I'M not mad at her though. Just gives me an excuse to visit Williams-Sonoma. Maybe I should give her my old cake pans too and see where they end up.

Puppy Love!

All of you who know our Daughter, Savannah, Know how huch she loves dogs and Puppies. Well, we put on the Westminster dog show for her to watch and she just loved it. She brought her little stool over to the t.v. so she could be the same height as it so she could kiss each one of the puppies that came on the screen. She must have her moms love of animals.

In case you havent heard, Were moving to Utah! It will probably be in late April. We just really feel that is where we need to be. I am going to start going to school to hopefull one day get my doctorate in art. (finally, huh) So we are going to be holding off on the sealing until we are settled out there.

So our family resolution this year was to get Savannah Sleeping in her own crib. Yes, till the first of the month she has been sleeping in between Juris and I. Luckily we have a king sized bed, so It wasn't that bad. Im sure Juris Disagrees. As of last night, she is now sleeping in her own crib, and thru the night. Just under two weeks. Not bad if I do say so myself. Now all we need to do is Just move her crib out of our room. Baby Steps.

Juris And I Started our Temple prep Classes last night! It is so amazing what we both learned. When Brother Peterson tols us we were going to be learning about the Plan Of Salvation, I think Both Juris And I were Like"Piece of cake". We both learned so much. Its kinda funny too, because we are the only two in the class, so we kinda feel like its being tailor made for us. Plus its a little easier on us, because we wont feel like dorks asking questions. Anyway, our calsses wont end till probably the end of February, and were getting so antsy to be sealed in the Temple Forever. Were shooting for the end of March. Probably Around Savannah's birthday. I found the cuteset Temple dress for her. Please keep you schedules open for us. We would love for you all to atend and be a part of our Big day.

Were glad to see everyone had a great hiliday season. We are so sorry that we missed seeing all of you this year. ON Christmas we woke around Nine. We tried to take as much advantage as we could with Savannah not knowing about presents. We put togeather Savannah's Kitchen the night before(I painted it pink, black and white) and had it set up in our great room, near our kitchen. We played with her for a while then Juris made a wonderful Christmas Breakfast.

D.J. got up around eleven and we ate. We didn't get to the presents till about noon. Juris was a little peeved with me since I spent all the christmas money buying presents for Him and Savannah, That he could only buy me one thing. I think I was more happy watching them open thier gifts and seeing thier faces. It was well worth it. Not that I didn't love my bread Machine. We played a game or two and then we started work on dinner. The Elders came for dinner and the roast wasn't cooked. It just wasnt cooking for some reason. So I had to microwave the roast to completion. Real Ghetto! I know. But at least the potatoes were good.

So here it is! The finished Product! It took a lot longer than expected. Savannah Has been a little sick lately and always wants Mommie. Since its pretty hard to sew with her on my lap (yes! I tired) I had to wait for her to go to sleep. She will wear it to our Ward Christmas party, To see Santa, and probably the sunday before Christmas. I hope to get a lot of wear out of it, So sorry if all the upcoming pictures she's wearing it.

Joseph Came to town For a Buisness trip. Now I dont know how much buisness he actually did, but this is what he brought with him. I hope he dosent turn out to be the Aunt Susie of the family. (i.e. Bringing snow when she visits) But hes always welcome here. We have a corner lot so these are the views from the corner. This was our first real accumulation of the season. We cant wait to see what it looks like when the real stuff comes.

Okay! Okay! I know it has taken me a while to post this, but I guess I found it a lot harder than others. I guess I figured everyone in my Family already knew my business, so it was hard trying to find things people wouldn't know. Look out for number five! Its a real Shocker! No Scrolling Down Allowed!

One-I knew the night I met Juris that we were going to be Married. That night I had a dream where we were walking out of the Salt Lake Temple After being Sealed. And I Heard A voice in my dream Say, " I told you to be patient." From then I never had a doubt in my mind. And fought hard for it ever since.

Two-Juris and I have painstakingly suffered through six miscarriages. They sure don't get any easier. And then were blessed with the love of our lives, Savannah Aileen. We have been trying for another for about nine months now to no avail. But No pregnancies mean no miscarriages. We have come to the realization that it just might not happen again for us. Although it saddens us that we might not get a Shuyler Ailyanna, Or a Jack Devlin, We Have been so blessed to have Bugg! And will spoil her rotten.

Three- I am obsessed with Tattoo's And have always wanted to be a tattoo artist. I think that is why I was always Drawing on myself. I Just love the rawness of the drawing. And I love Shows like LA ink And Miami Ink. I also think it ties together with my love of Comic Books and Super heroes. I just love the sharpness the ink drawings.

Four-Juris and I are major Foodies! We love food(including the dreaded bell pepper!)
We love eating and cooking/baking. And are always up for trying new things. And Always have the food network on. We love finding unique recipes and making them our own. Juris secretly wants to go to culinary school.

Five- Here's the shocker! I don't hate my older sister AMBER. I never have. I Just hated being compared to her. In fact, I Admire her. I cant even imagine the kind of strength she has. I struggle with my one child. I know this maybe hard for some of you to believe, But it true. Although I still hold a slight grudge to her for jabbing those talons in my shoulder repeatedly, until I had to punch her. Which in turn got ME grounded. Nothing happened to her, even though she started it! Whatever! Forgive and forget, eh? Bitter? No, Not at all. In fact, I hate the awkwardness that we always seem to have.Why is that?

I know she kinda young, but a few neighbors wanted us to bring her around. So we did. It was only four houses. She was so Cute. She didnt want to put her Candy Corn outfit on . Instead I think she had on everything in her dress-up box. A Snow White Dress. A Cape. A Black Shirt. And Orange Bloomers. Plus Her coat. MAn Was it windy out here. Everyone was like "oh, A Princess. I think" We just Laughed and Said " Yup. Its Princess Savannah."
She Got Bored of Trick or treating real fast. Insted she walked up to peoples houses just to see thier decorations. She tried to take a few home.
When we got home she Helped Pass out treats. It took her a few times to get the hang of it. She tried grabbing candy out of one girls bag. Like they were trading. Luckily the girl was a little older and was really sweet with her. All in all, it was a great Halloween.

Since our ward didn't have a Halloween Party, we decided to throw one for the kids in our ward. It was Fun. We did a pinata. Since Savannah Was the youngest, she got to go first. She caught on immmediately.
We also Bobbed for apples, Which Savannah Tried to Bathe in. We played the donut on a string game. Who could pass up Krispy Kremes. And Carved Pumpkins.
Everyone dressed up. And Hopefully had a great time. ( I made the red Vampire Dress)

Candy Corn Princess!

So, I was having a hard time deciding on a costume for Savannah this year. I wanted someting unique and cute, and am kinda tired of the mass production of generic costumes. They frustrate me! I dont know why. It makes me long for my popcorn box and the time and thought mom put into that costume. Anyway, I love candy corn, not to eat persay, But I think theyre a realy cute fall decoration.
So one night I came up with this outfit. I love making tutus for Savannah. Originally I was gonna Puffy Paint a onesie , but found this cute one at The Gap. It Says I want Candy! And has Candy Corns. I layered the tulle in the colors of Candy corn. I found this Cute Ribbon and pumpkin bells to put on the onesie and skirt to kinda tie them all together, since the orange in the onesie is kinda more of a tangerine than orange.

Well, Savannah Has started showing interest in potties, So we decidded to go and get her a big girl Pottie! I took it out of the package, Showed it to her, and tried to explain what it is and how it works. I showed her the regular pottie and Said "Mommie's and Daddies Potty" Then showed her Hers And said" Savannah's Big girl Pottie. She than took her diaper off and sat on the pottie, Pointing to her head. ( Thats Daddy in Sign Language) Yea, Just like Daddy! She Shook her head no and ran to get a book and sit back down. Nodding and pointing to her head again. " okay" I said " Now your just like Daddy!

World's Pickiest Eater!

I need Help! Seriously! Savannah is becoming such a picky eater. I am running out of things to give her, and Ideas. Every thing new I give her gets spit out. Even her old favorites are no longer favorites. She goes around all day asking for food, but rarely eats what is put in front of her. When she does actually eat something, she seems to get bored with it very quickly. Please let me know if you have any ideas. They will be much appreciated.

Savannah Is really turning into such a character! A few sundays ago, she found a bright red cape from Bella's Wonderwoman costume, and just had to wear it! She wouldn't even take it off for church. It was so funny. Everyone got the biggest laugh. It was really cute!
